random resources

In some literature, Tesla describes a 400 HP pump using his turbine design, with two sets of discs turning in opposition. I have yet to stumble across a diagram or photo of such a device, but i suspect that the disc sets are either interleaved or are positioned adjacent, such that a single inlet nozzle in effect causes partial viscous flow over each disc pack. This coupled with his elegant "valvular relay" (a one way valve system with no moving parts that can be placed in-line with the inlet and outlet lines for his turbine-pump) would be a neat thing to see.
I would really like to see some more literature on this opposed rotational disc-pack pump.
